William "Junior" Ellis

Mr. William L. “Junior” Ellis, Jr. 85, a resident of Trenton, Missouri died at 9:05 A.M., Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Antioch Cemetery north of Jamesport, Missouri.

Open visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton.

Memorials to Antioch Cemetery and maybe left at the funeral home.

Mr. Ellis was born June 26, 1936 at Spickard, Missouri the son of William Leland and Martha Jane Avery Ellis, Sr. He graduated from Galt High School. Before retiring he was employed for 40 years as lead man with Trenton Foods.

He was a member of Melbourne Baptist Church.

On November 25, 1989 he was married to Linda Sue Rushing at Melbourne, Missouri.

His survivors include his wife Sue of the home; two stepsons Richard Cotton and wife Jane, Jamesport, Missouri, Tim Cotton and wife Robin, Tallahassee, Florida; two brothers Leroy Ellis and Roby Ellis both of Trenton, Missouri; three grandsons Michael Cotton and wife Jamie, Jamesport, Missouri, Turner Cotton and wife Maddie, Jamesport, Missouri, Kody Cotton and wife Hayley, Atlanta, Georgia; and one great grandchild Abigail Cotton, Jamesport, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters Carolyn Lewellen, Margaret Ellis, Joyce Ellis, Joan Ellis and Clelda Luzenberg.
