William Foster Obituary

William “Joe” Foster a 67 year old Trenton resident, passed away at 8:15 a.m., Monday, December 14, 2020 at his residence where he had been under hospice care, with an ILLNESS of ALS, known as Lou Gehrig's Disease .

 

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Resthaven Mortuary, with inurnment at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.  Memorial donations are suggested Trenton Elk’s Lodge #801 and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home

Joe is the founder of CSI Overhead Garage Door Co. (Construction Specialties Inc.) Since 1978. Joe grew up in Trenton. He learned to work with his father Bill, who ran a local Business called Bills 66, pumping gas and repairing cars in their own Service Station. Joe was a member of the Boy Scouts and though his years in Scouting achieved the awards of EAGLE also God and Country.  He attended school in Trenton, graduated in 1971 taking one year at Trenton Junior College. Joe joined the USAF August 1972, after basic training on September 30 he was married to Vicky Burt from Yorkville Ill, having met her at TJC.  His success in business can be directly attributed to his work ethic and his natural ability from his father. His attention to detail was legendary also taking pride in the fact that his customers always came 1st and must be very satisfied. He served in USAF at the age of 19 as a Jet Engine Mechanics during Vietnam.  He joined the USAF MO National Guard Civil Engineer 1977 and Army MO National Guard  in 1989 where he earned several medals. He retired from the MO Army National Guard in Trenton, 2004 after 21 years of military service.  On December 16, 2002 he was united in marriage to Lori Walker in Las Vegas.  He was a member and past Exalted Ruler for Trenton Elk’s Lodge #801, and the American Legion. 

Joe Foster is survived by his wife, Lori of the home, three children: Jason E. Foster and wife Misty of Trenton, Jessica L. Christiansen husband Brian of Omaha, NB, and stepson Kevin S. Willcutts and wife Sam of FL, sisters Terri Klipp and husband Mike of Burkburnett, TX, Tobi Hosty of Westerville, OH, and Candy Tucker of Olatha, KS, five grandchildren Dylan, Gwyneth, Kameron, Erin, and Chelsea, and three step grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and June Foster.
