Wayne Miller Obituary

Wayne Henry Miller, son of Henry J. and Martha Marie Mohler Miller, was born on November 14th, 1939 in Stark County, OH. He left to be with the Lord he so faithfully loved and served on November 9th, 2020 at the age of 80.

In the fall of 1956, at 16 years of age, Wayne moved to Miami County, OH where he met and Married Vera Mae Cottrell on June 21, 1959.Together they experienced the joys and sorrows of life for over 61 years. To this union was born two sons, Timothy Wayne in 1960 and Todd Weldon in 1962.  In 1968, Wayne accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and was baptized and to this commitment, he remained faithful.

He enjoyed hunting deer, fishing, playing golf, hunting mushrooms, mowing the yard and being with his grandchildren.

He drove a semi hauling rock for 14 years in the Burbank, Ohio area and then had a small dump truck in Missouri for township roads and driveways. He was active up to the day Covid hit him.
 

In 1972 Wayne and Vera purchased a farm near Arcanum, OH, where Wayne enjoyed the occupation of farming.

In the fall of 1977 Wayne and Vera sold the farm in Arcanum, and purchased a farm near Burbank, OH.  In 2003, they sold the farm near Burbank and purchased a farm near Galt, MO where they lived until his passing.

Surviving are his wife, Vera and their 2 children, Tim and Leisa, Trenton, MO., Todd and Jackie, West Salem, Ohio. Five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Mary Ballard, Ruby Wagoner, and Berniece Miller, 1 brother, Bill Miller, 1 brother-in-law, Ed Bitting, and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Kathleen Cottrell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his parents-in-law, 1 brother, Bobby, and 2 sisters, Annabelle Bitting and Dorothy Welch, brother-in-law, Glen Miller and brother-in-law, Gerald Wagoner.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Resthaven Mortuary, Trenton. Burial will be in Eller Cemetery East of Harris, MO.

Family visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., then another visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. both at the mortuary.

Memorials to Rock of Ages Ministry, Cleveland, TN or Riverside Baptist Church, St. Joseph, Mo. for prison ministries and may be left or mailed to the mortuary.
