Rose Osborn-Layne a 77 year old former Trenton resident, passed away at 12:57 a.m., Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her residence in Kansas City, MO.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 14, 2025 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton. A visitation is scheduled from 6 until 8 Thursday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to donor’s choice and maybe left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Sarah Rose Layne was born October 18, 1947 in Trenton to Homer Ralph and Hyldred Romane (Griffin) Burress. She graduated from Trenton High School with the class of 1965. On April 19, 1983 she was remarried to Ron Osborn in Trenton. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2019. On September 14, 2022 she was married to Bobby Layne. For over 20 years Rose sold office equipment. She also worked at grain elevators in Jamesport and Gilman City and ran her own Graphic Design Company in Trenton. Rose was also an avid racecar fan and enjoyed watching her boy’s races.
Surviving relatives include her sons Robbie Kincade of Melborne, MO, Ronnie Kincade and wife Cheri of Carrollton, MO, step son Andy Osborn and significant other Jennifer Westcott of Trenton, step children, Tami Stewart and husband Brent of Fort Scott, KS, Danna Abadir and husband Mark of Columbia, MO, Robert Layne II of Salem, OR, and Ben Layne and wife Lorrie of Independence, MO, grandchildren Sarah Higgins, Rhyan, Kenzi, and Jessup Kincade, step grandchildren Sunne Groth, Rainie Ryser, Mikel Woldum, and Chase and Dillion Abadir, and step great grandchildren Huxley and Braxtyn Groth, and Emerson and Eli Layne.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ron.
