Mrs. Phylliss L. Peery 81, a resident of Gilman City, Missouri died at 4:11 P.M., Friday April 9, 2021 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Resthaven Mortuary, Trenton. Burial will be in Edinburg Cemetery west of Trenton.
Family visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the mortuary. Open visitation will be Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 10:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
Memorial to Edinburg Cemetery and may be left with the mortuary.
Mrs. Peery was born July 1, 1939 in Trenton the daughter of Benford and Lorraine Reeder Tharp. Before retiring she was employed at the Home Exchange Bank at Jamesport, Missouri for over 27 years.
She was a member of the Union (Coon Creek) Baptist Church west of Trenton.
On February 10, 1962 she was married to Thomas E. Peery at Trenton. He preceded her death on December 3, 2016.
Her survivors include one brother Randall Tharp, Gilman City, Missouri. Two nieces Sheila Krumwiede, Kansas City, Missouri and Tiffany Spurgetis, of Illinois. Five nephews Randall Tharp, Jr., Kansas City, Missouri, Rodney Tharp, Kansas City, Missouri, Anthony Tharp, Lone Jack, Missouri, Timothy Tharp, Kansas City, Missouri and Terry Tharp, Moline, Illinois. Three sisters-in-law Barbara Tharp, Moline, Illinois, Sara Ann Wilson, Maryville, Missouri and Linda Gibson, Trenton, Missouri. Also several nieces, nephews great nieces, nephews, great great nieces and nephews.
Even though Phylliss did not have any children of her own, she loved and thought of Colton, Jacob, and Jessica Roy as her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Donald Tharp, Phillip Tharp and one sister-in-law Jo Ellen Zimmerman.
