Phyllis Jean (Johnson) McCloud

Mrs. Phyllis J. McCloud 89, a resident of rural Spickard, MO. died at 12:30 P.M. Friday, September 11, 2020 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Salem Baptist Church northwest of Trenton. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.

Open visitation will be held Monday, September 14, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton.

There is no scheduled family visitation.

Memorials to Salem Cemetery can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.

Mrs. McCloud was born November 18, 1930 at Trenton, the daughter of Roy and Dolly Renfro Johnson. She graduated from Trenton High School. She enjoyed gardening, especially taking care of her flowers. One of her interests was traveling and spending fifteen winters in Texas. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was an active member of the Salem Baptist Church.

On February 4, 1951 she was married to Randell McCloud at Trenton.

Her survivors include her husband Randell of the home.  One daughter Rhonda Rosentangle, Trenton.  One son John McCloud and wife Melanie, Trenton. Six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters Velva Steele, Mildred Courtney, Lucille Mistler, Willa Lee Cobb, and one brother Kenneth Johnson.
