Peggy Ann (Hostetter) Stephens, 69, of Spickard, Missouri, entered her eternal rest on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Peggy was born on July 6, 1955, in Milan, Missouri to Gean and Muriel (Foster) Hostetter. Peggy entered into marriage on November 15, 1974, to Donald Stephens. To this union one son was born, Chris Stephens.
Peggy is survived by her husband Donald Stephens of the home, son Chris (Lisa) Stephens of Princeton, Mo, grandchildren Payge (Riley) Nelson, Dalton Stephens and great granddaughter Ember Nelson. Sister Jean Kunkel, sisters-in-law Linda Hostetter, Bonnie Stephens, Peggy Jenkins, Judy Munday, Delores Herring, brothers-in-law Olen (Gloria) Stephens, Larry (Oz) Stephens and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Larry Hostetter, brothers-in-law Earl Stephens, Jerald Jenkins, Fred Munday, Ron Herring.
Peggy grew up in the Harris, Missouri area and was a graduate of the Newtown-Harris High School. In her early days, she enjoyed playing and coaching basketball. She began her career at Trenton Hospital and became an LPN and served many years as an EMT and Paramedic for Grundy County. Peggy served her community as a fire department volunteer for over 20 years. She enjoyed music, singing and dancing with her beloved husband. She had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed watching westerns and loved playing cards with family and friends. Peggy will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her.
A visitation for Peggy will be held at Resthaven Mortuary on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 5-6pm with funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025 in Trenton, Missouri. Burial will take place following the service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.
