Marvel Vernette Bell

Miss Marvel V. Bell, 86, a resident of Worthington, Minnesota, died at 8:10 A.M., Friday, July 7,2023 at Sanford USD Medical Center and Hospital, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.

Open visitation will be Friday, July 21, 2023 at Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton, Missouri.

Miss Bell was born April 22, 1937 in Anita, Minnesota the daughter of Clayton W. and Margaret L. (Lamm) Bell. She graduated from Round Lake High School, Round Lake, MN, also graduated from cosmetology school in Mankato, MN. She owned her own beauty shop for 60 years in Worthington, MN.

Her survivors include two sisters Wanda Robinson and husband Larry, Trenton, Missouri, Sandra Walker and husband David, Chillicothe, Missouri; two brothers Carol Bell and wife Elaine, Scottsdale, Arizona,  Jack Bell and wife Connie, Burlington, Iowa; one brother-in-law Jerry McLin, Chillicothe, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Barbara Finley Hamilton and Karen McLin. She was also preceded in death by her companion Merle Freyborg who died in December, 2022.
