Mark Lee Hanes

Mark Hanes, a 64 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away in his sleep, Thursday, September 3, 2020 at his residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  There will be a visitation from 1:00 until service time Wednesday.  Open visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.  His body is to be cremated after the services.  Memorial donations are suggested to Missouri Department of Conservation and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Mark Lee Hanes was born August 25, 1956 in Trenton to Vernon Lee and Betty Joan (Wise) Hanes.  He graduated from Trenton High School with the class of 1974.  On March 22, 2016 he was united in marriage to Debbie Ostermann in Gallatin, MO.  Mark served on the Grundy County Rural Fire Department for many years.  He loved to work and could always find something to fix either for himself or any of his family or friends.  He also enjoyed the outdoors and hunting and fishing. He was known as the worlds best dashboard percussionist. 

Surviving relatives include his wife Deb of the home, mother Betty Siemer and step father Gail of Trenton, son Christopher Hanes and wife Julie of Ft. Riley, KS, daughter Vanessa Smith and husband Jacob of Trenton, brother Steve Hanes of Gilman City, MO, sister Joyce Eads and husband Randy of Coffee, MO, step daughters Lacy Buck and husband Justin of Rothville, MO, and Lindsay Ewigman and husband Ben of Marceline, MO, step son Derrick Ostermann and wife Tiffany of Mendon, MO, and 15 grandchildren; Hunter, Loralie, Emma, Brantley, Dalton, Jerrett, Oliver, Megan, Shelby, Wyatt, Gracie, Jackson, Andrew, Parker and Elsie.

He was preceded in death by his father and a son Dallas Hanes.
