Loraine Lavern (Stevens) Moore

Mrs. Loraine Moore an 89 year old former Jamesport, MO resident, died Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 1:21 A.M. at Sunnyview Apartments in Trenton, where she had been residing since July 2019.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2020 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  There will be a visitation from 10:00 until service time Friday.  Inurnment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.  Memorials are suggested to the North 65 Senior Center and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home at P.O. Box 587, Trenton.

Mrs. Moore was born January 15, 1931 in Spickard, MO the oldest daughter of Fred and Lucille (Marrs) Stevens.  She graduated from Spickard High School with the class of 1949.  She was married to Wayne Moore on January 22, 1950 in Trenton, MO. They lived all their married lives in Jamesport and Trenton communities.  After their marriage, she worked at Trenton Foods for several years until moving to a farm north of Jamesport in 1970.  There she did farm chores until moving to Trenton in 2003.  Mrs. Moore was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and a life member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Trenton.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband and her youngest sister Sue Weber.  Surviving relatives include her son Wayne Moore Jr., his wife Angie and their daughter Julia Ann of Bambers, Germany, and son Mike Moore of Elmore, AL, and a sister Amber Southers of Trenton, MO.
