Linda Darlene (Brown) Lewis

Linda Darlene Brown Lewis, 59 a former Spickard, MO.  resident  died Friday, November 6, 2020 at 10:58 P.M. at the John Cochran V.A. Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo. following a hip fracture and surgery

At her request her body was cremated under the direction of Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton, MO.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 22,2020 at The Spickard Christian Church. Inurnment will be the Spickard Masonic Cemetery.

Family visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the church.

Memorials to Spickard Christian Church or Spickard Masonic Cemetery and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home.

Linda was born February 2, 1961. She was the daughter of Clarence Gordon and Dixie Lee Fitzpatrick Brown Yates. She attended school in Spickard, MO. and graduated from Trenton High School in 1979. She enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1980 and was honorably discharge due to hand surgery.

She loved music, playing the piano, drawing, her animals and helping others. She was a girl scout in her early years.

Linda had resided in a care center in Chesterfield, MO. since March 2019.

She was a member of the Spickard Christian Church.

Survivors include her mother Dixie Yates, Princeton, MO. Two special cousins Connie  Gumm and Brandon Gumm, Gladstone, MO. One aunt Bernice Brown, Glen Carbon, IL., Cousins Pam & Al Kennerly, Glen Carbon, Mike & Julie Brown , Austin, TX., Brenda & Les Maiman, San Angelo, TX., Two Special friends Shonte Roberts & Aija Kegler, O’Fallon, Mo. and host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Gordon, step-father Virgil Yates, grandparents, aunts & uncles Irene & Jim Wagner, Phyllis & Gerald Gumm, and uncle Warren Brown.
