Leola F. Davis, 87, a resident of Trenton, Missouri died at 7:17 A.M., Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton, Missouri.
Family visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorials to Half Rock Cemetery and maybe left with the funeral home.
Ms. Davis was born November 2, 1936 at Dunlap, Missouri the daughter of Oren and Leona Edith Cunningham Burkeybile. She received her Licensed Practical Nurses’ certificate from Trenton Junior College of Trenton. She was employed by the Plainview Nursing Home east of Trenton until it was closed and the residents were moved to Sunnyview Nursing Home where she worked until retiring in 2006.
Her survivors include two daughters Rena Sterling and husband Kenneth (Buck), Fresno, California, Charlean Johnson, St. Joseph, Missouri; three grandchildren Matthew Johnson, St. Joseph, Missouri, Emily Sterling, Fresno, California, Amy Moench and husband Darren, Kingsburg, California; Four great grandchildren Darren Moench,Kingsburg, California, Hallie Moench, Kingsburg, California, Kaiden Baharloo, Fresno, California, Kensley Sterling, Fresno, California; two brothers Leroy Burkeybile and wife Jessie, Trenton, Missouri, Gary Burkeybile and wife Mary, Mill Grove, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter Sarah Johnson, one sister Pauline Snyder, three brothers Virgil Burkeybile, Raymond Burkeybile and Robert Burkeybile.
