Laura Lee (Tunnell) Kelley

Laura Lee Kelley, an 80 year old former Galt Resident, passed away at 3:15 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2025 at Brookfield Life Care Center in Brookfield, MO.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the Galt Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Galt East Cemetery.  Open visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Slater Neal Funeral Home of Trenton.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Galt East Cemetery and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Laura Lee Kelley was born in Galt, MO on November 15, 1944, the daughter of Richard and Ilene Tunnell.  She grew up in Galt and graduated from Grundy RV High School.  She married David Harrold Kelley on June 24, 1963.  They raised four children in Galt.  Laura Lee was a homemaker.  She loved spending time with family, sewing, going on trips, riding horses and taking care of grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a member of the Galt Baptist Church.

Laura Lee was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Harry and Willa Mae Tunnell, and brother in laws and sister in laws Ray Kelley, Dan and Jean Kelley, Tom and Sharon Kelley, Mary Beith, Dollye and Ward Richardson, and Florence Smith, son in law Chance Dillon and two grandsons, Delbert and Josh.

Surviving relatives include son Harold Kelley and friend Bev, daughters Patty Turley and husband George, Linda Dillon, and Sandy Olson and husband Randy, grandchildren; Kali McCrary and husband Nathan, Casey Turley, Krystal Dierrickson and husband Cory, David and Ashlee Olson, great grandchildren; Kainsley and Brycen McCrary, Jennifer Bannan, Denis, Odin, Erik, and Adaline Dierrickson, and Bella Olson, beloved dogs Penny and Jessee, cat Bob, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
