Larry Dean Jewell

Larry Jewell, a 62 year old resident of St. Joseph, MO, passed away at 11:48 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2020 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO.

Graveside Military Honors are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Shelburne Cemetery, south of Trenton.  There will be open visitation time Wednesday from 9:00 a.m., until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Slater Neal Funeral Home in Trenton, MO.  Memorial donations are suggested to Shelburne Cemetery and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Larry Dean Jewell was born April 4, 1958 in Trenton, MO to Charles Leroy and Iola May (Stubbs) Jewell.  From May 29, 1975 until May 30, 1978 served in the United States Army.  Larry worked as an aeronautics engineer doing airline maintenance for Branniff Airlines, T.W.A, and United Airlines.  He also worked in construction as a dry waller.  Larry was a history buff and especially enjoyed military history.  He also loved motorcycles and anything mechanical.

Surviving relatives include his sons Tyson Jewell and Randy Jewell of St. Joseph, MO, sister, Cheryll Ruhnke of St. Joseph, MO, companion Jill Gessell of Stewartsville, MO, grandchildren Cameron, Zayden, Maddox, and Chancellor, and an aunt Emma Bankson and husband Lewis of Trenton.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
