Keith Rutledge Obituary

Keith‌ ‌Allen‌ ‌Rutledge‌ 77, Trenton, MO.  ‌passed‌ ‌away‌ ‌on‌ ‌June‌ ‌30th‌ ‌at‌ ‌St.‌ ‌Mary’s‌ ‌Medical‌ ‌Center‌ ‌in‌ ‌Blue‌ ‌Springs,‌ ‌MO.‌  ‌He‌ ‌had‌ ‌been‌ ‌residing‌ ‌at‌ ‌Bristol‌ ‌Manor‌ ‌for‌ ‌the‌ ‌past‌ ‌2‌ ‌years‌ ‌along‌ ‌with‌ ‌his‌ ‌wife,‌ ‌Mary‌ ‌Rutledge.‌ ‌

Keith‌ ‌was‌ ‌born‌ ‌on‌ ‌October‌ ‌4th,‌ ‌1942‌ ‌in‌ ‌Princeton‌ ‌Missouri‌ ‌to‌ ‌Frank‌ ‌Wilson‌ ‌Rutledge‌ ‌and‌ ‌Ruby‌ ‌Maleese‌ ‌Grove.‌ ‌He‌ ‌resided‌ ‌in‌ ‌northern‌ ‌Missouri‌ ‌all‌ ‌his‌ ‌life‌ ‌after‌ ‌graduating‌ ‌from‌ ‌Princeton‌ ‌High‌ ‌School‌ ‌in‌ ‌1960.‌ ‌He‌ ‌married‌ ‌Mary‌ ‌Louise‌ ‌Ellsworth‌ ‌on‌ ‌March‌ ‌7th,‌ ‌1964‌ ‌in‌ ‌Princeton,‌ ‌MO.‌  ‌The‌ ‌couple‌ ‌resided‌ ‌in‌ ‌Trenton‌ ‌and‌ ‌Spickard,‌ ‌finally‌ ‌moving‌ ‌to‌ ‌their‌ ‌home‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌prior‌ ‌school‌ ‌house‌ ‌of‌Parkerton‌ ‌just‌ ‌north‌ ‌of‌ ‌Trenton.‌   ‌He‌ ‌was‌ ‌employed‌ ‌at‌ ‌Trenton‌ ‌Foods‌ ‌from‌ ‌the‌ ‌time‌ ‌he‌ ‌graduated‌ ‌from‌ ‌high‌ ‌school‌ ‌until‌ ‌his‌ ‌retirement‌ ‌in‌ ‌2005.‌ ‌He‌ ‌enjoyed‌ ‌woodworking,‌ ‌working‌ ‌on‌ ‌cars‌ ‌and‌ ‌talking‌ ‌to‌ ‌people‌ ‌over‌ ‌his‌ ‌CB‌ ‌radio.

‌He‌ ‌was‌ ‌the‌ ‌proud‌ ‌parent‌ ‌of‌ ‌2‌ ‌daughters‌ ‌and‌ ‌3‌ ‌grandchildren,‌ ‌enjoying‌ ‌their‌ ‌summer‌ ‌visits‌ ‌and‌ ‌taking‌ ‌the‌ ‌kids‌ ‌on‌ ‌wagon‌ ‌rides.‌ ‌He‌ ‌was‌ ‌a‌ ‌faithful‌ ‌believer‌ ‌in‌ ‌Christ.‌ ‌He‌ ‌loved‌ ‌the‌ ‌family‌ ‌dog,‌ ‌Mickey,‌ ‌with‌ ‌all‌ ‌his‌ ‌heart.‌ ‌

He‌ ‌is‌ ‌preceded‌ ‌in‌ ‌death‌ ‌by‌ ‌his‌ ‌wife,‌ ‌Mary‌ ‌Rutledge,‌ ‌on‌ ‌May‌ ‌29th,‌ ‌2020,‌ ‌his‌ ‌parents, and brother-in-law Ron Corder.‌  ‌

He‌ ‌is‌ ‌survived‌ ‌by‌ ‌his‌ ‌sister‌ ‌Nylene‌ ‌Walker‌ ‌and‌ ‌her‌ ‌husband‌ ‌Larry‌ ‌Walker‌ ‌of‌ ‌Louisville,‌ ‌Kentucky,‌  ‌his‌ ‌sister‌ ‌Norene‌ ‌Corder‌ ‌of‌ ‌Bloomington,‌ ‌Minnesota‌ ‌and‌ ‌a‌ ‌sister-in-law,‌ ‌Ruth‌ ‌Ellsworth‌ ‌of‌ ‌Trenton,‌ ‌Missouri.‌  ‌He‌ ‌is‌ ‌also‌ ‌survived‌ ‌by‌ ‌his‌ ‌daughter,‌ ‌Kathy‌ ‌Winkelman‌ ‌and‌ ‌her‌ ‌husband,‌ ‌Kevin,‌ ‌of‌ ‌Martinsburg,‌ ‌Missouri‌ ‌and‌ ‌his‌ ‌daughter,‌ ‌Kristie‌ ‌Baker‌ ‌and‌ ‌her‌ ‌husband,‌ ‌Eric,‌ ‌along‌ ‌with‌ ‌three‌ ‌grandchildren,‌ ‌Emily,‌ ‌Elizabeth‌ ‌and‌ ‌Elijah‌ ‌Baker‌ ‌of‌ ‌Lee’s‌ ‌Summit,‌ ‌Missouri.‌ ‌

‌Services‌ ‌are‌ ‌scheduled‌ ‌for‌ ‌2pm‌ ‌Sunday,‌ ‌July‌ ‌5th‌ ‌at‌ ‌Slater‌ ‌Neal‌ ‌Funeral‌ ‌Home, Trenton ‌ ‌with‌ ‌visitation‌ ‌at‌ ‌the‌ ‌funeral‌ ‌home‌ ‌beginning‌ ‌at‌ ‌1pm.‌ ‌Burial‌ ‌to‌ ‌follow‌ ‌at‌ ‌Hamilton‌ ‌Cemetery west of Modena, MO.

In lieu of flowers, a monetary donations may be left to Greenhills Animal Shelter in Trenton, Missouri in Keith’s name. They maybe send to the funeral home.
