Kathy Brown Obituary

Our beloved Mom and Mema, Kathy (Coon) Rae Brown, a lifelong resident of Trenton and Galt, passed away peacefully on January 7th at her home with her lifelong dog Hank her companion. She was the heart and soul of our family. Kathy was born January 26th 1958 in Milan, Missouri to Willard and Kathryn Carver of Galt. Kathy graduated from Galt High School following graduation she married Mark Ray Coon of Trenton. They had three children; Sheila, April, and Jenny. Kathy enjoyed spending time with family, her grandkids and great grandkids were her pride and joy.

Kathy enjoyed watching football, camping with her family and going to the bar playing the slot

machines and having an ice cold beer. And of course Mema was always in the kitchen cooking up something and you always left with GOOD food. “Where you always left with a to go plate and always have your Tupperware ready.” Kathy spent many years working as a nurse she began her nursing career at Wright Memorial Hospital and then went to Sunnyview and Eastview working in the physical therapy department. She didn’t know a stranger if she saw someone in need, she helped the best way she could. Upon in leaving her career in nursing she went to Conagra Foods where she spent 10 plus years. She enjoyed her music on a nice summer night where you could find her setting on her front porch with Hank (her dog) having an ice cold beer. But most importantly she spent all the time she could with her great grandbabies.

Her family wants to send her a heartfelt message: “God is great, beer is good and people are crazy” Rest in Peace, Give heaven some Hell!

She is survived by her two daughters, Sheila Rae Coon and Jenny Coon Dunhamn (Lance) of Union Star. Following 5 grandkids Isaiah Coon (Emily Wagner) of Trenton , Riley Coon (Justin Blakley ) of Polo, Grayson Coon of Trenton, Jada May (Riley Hughes) of Union Star, and Eliza Bell of Union star. Following 6 great grandkids Harper, Charlee and Wayne Blakley of Polo, Roselyn and Quade Hughes of Union star and Saige Coon of Trenton.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willard and Kathryn Carver, Daughter April Swank, Brother Billy Ray Carver and several cousins.
