John R. Smiley

John R. Smiley passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe MO.  He was a resident of Chillicothe where he resided with his girlfriend Carly Wheeler.  He was an employee of Hornet Express Tunnel Wash in Chillicothe.

His body was cremated under the direction of Slater-Neal Funeral Home Trenton, Missouri.  His services will be held Saturday March 5th at 2pm at the Galt Baptist Church.

John was born June 18, 1982 the son of Robert Dale Smiley and Naomi Kaye Little Smiley.  His survivors include two daughters Ava Brooke Smiley, Lydia Kay Smiley, one son Kyler Reese Smiley all of Trenton, Mo; his mother Naomi Leach, Kansas City, Kansas; his father Robert Smiley, Galt, MO; one sister Christal Brown, Milan, MO; two brothers Brian Smiley and wife Reta, Galt, MO; and Chris Smiley, Humphreys MO.

John loved his kids, girlfriend, family and friends, which he liked to pick on all often to show his love.  He spoke often of his experiences and people from his job.  He was proud of doing a good job and being a good employee.
