John M. Chipps

John Chipps, 64, a resident of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and former resident of Trenton and Spickard, Missouri, passed away at 12:14 A.M., Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at his residence. 

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 29, 2024, at Half Rock Cemetery northeast of Spickard, Missouri. 

Open visitation will be held Friday, November 29, 2024, from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Resthaven Mortuary, Trenton, Missouri. 

Memorials to Half Rock Cemetery and maybe left with the mortuary.

John was born May 1, 1960, in Trenton, Missouri, the son of Billy Chan and Darletta Jane Dean Chipps. He attended Trenton High School and retired from the DM&E Railroad as a Road Master. He was a member of the Bolivar, Missouri Elks Lodge.

He had a great love for billiards and was the proud owner of PJ Billiards in Trenton, MO, and Broadway Billiards in Bolivar, MO. He also enjoyed fishing and often shared his love for the sport with friends and family. 

His survivors include his children: Tabetha Checca and husband Christopher, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Jeramiah Chipps and wife Megan, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Aaron Chipps, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Ylynn Zaragoza and husband Alex, Sedalia, Missouri; Michelle Sitoy, Atlanta, Georgia; and one brother Robert Chipps and wife Norma, Bolivar, Missouri. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.
