Joan Ann Allen, a 97 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 8:17 p.m., Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Morningside Center in Chillicothe, MO.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Slater Neal Funeral Home of Trenton. Burial will follow in Humphreys Cemetery in Humphreys, MO. A visitation is scheduled from 1:00 until service time Thursday. Memorial donations are suggested to the Humphreys Cemetery and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Joan Ann Allen was born February, 15, 1928 in South River, NJ to Stephen A. and Ann M. (Kennedy) Humphreys. In 1937 her family moved to a small farm house north of Humphreys. She graduated from Humphreys High School with the class of 1946. On June 1, 1946 she was united in marriage to Bobby Jean Allen. They began their married life on the same small farm. They lived in Fort Pierce, FL and Hayward CA for a few years before returning back to Humphreys, MO. They returned to Humphreys and together they built and operated Allen’s Foodlane in Humphreys and continued farming. Bob preceded her in death May 10, 2010. She also worked as a secretary for the Humphreys and Galt Schools and was a dental assistant for Dr. Wade in Trenton. Joan was active in the P.T.A. for many years as well as being active in most all Humphreys community events. She also enjoyed listening to music and playing bingo. Joan was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Surviving relative include her daughters DeEtta Reim of Ormond Beach, FL, and Marsha Triplett and husband Paul of Chillicothe, MO, grandchildren; Scott Reim, Angela Childs, Jeremy Triplett and wife Jennifer, and Jill Ellinger and husband Ken, great grandchildren; Paige Childs, Michael Ellinger, Ryan Ellinger, Erik Ellinger, Annabelle Triplett and Avy Triplett.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband Bob, and son-in-law Roy Reim.
