JoAnn (Carter) Stark

JoAnn Stark, 77, a resident of Trenton, Missouri died at 9:42 A.M., Friday, January 17, 2025 at the Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton, Missouri. Burial will be in Harris Cemetery. 

Family visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Memorials to either the North 65 Center or American Cancer Society and maybe left with funeral home.

JoAnn was born June 5, 1947 in Albia, Iowa the daughter of John Raymond and Osie F. Breese Carter. Before retiring she was employed as a certified nurse’s aide with Sunnyview Nursing Home.

Her survivors include her daughter Elizabeth Harden, Warrensburg, Missouri; four sisters Sarah Holliday, Unionville, Missouri, Betty Loughhead, Lucerne, Missouri, Wanda Lightner and Husband David, Corydon, Iowa, Linda Carter, Unionville, Missouri; two brothers Richard Carter and wife Lana, Trenton, Missouri and Gary Carter and wife Jo, Lancaster, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Tammy Jo Lynn Stark, one son John Thomas Chapman, one sister Rosemary Kramer, three brothers Billy Carter, John Carter, Jr. and Jim Carter.
