Janet Elder an 80 year old long time Trenton resident, passed away at 7:19 p.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at her sons residence in Marshfield, MO where she was under hospice care.
All friends and family are invited to a visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. A graveside service will follow in Coon Creek Cemetery.
Janet Lou Elder was born August 20, 1944 in Chicago, IN to John and Blanche (Whorton) Walsh. She graduated from Trenton High School. She was married to Fred Elder at Coon Creek Baptist Church. He preceded her in death July 7, 2003. Janet worked as a waitress around Trenton most of her life. She had a great passion for country music and dancing. She was a member of the Coon Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include her son Gary Lawrence and wife Lana of Marshfield, MO, daughters Lori Lawrence Traylor of Ponchatoula, LA, and Rhonda Driscoll Gray of Indianapolis, IN, six grandchildren Brandon and wife Chelsie and Kyle Lawrence, Bradley and Nicholas Traylor, and Matt and Kristen Driscoll, and six great grandchildren Teagan, Mason, and Blake Lawrence, Logan Ray, Titus, and Liam Driscoll.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Charles and Jack Walsh, and a longtime partner Jerry Stotts.
