Jacqueline D. “Jackie” Sharp 83, a resident of Trenton, Missouri died at 1:12 P.M., Friday March 19, 2021 at Sunnyview Nursing Home, Trenton.
Her body was cremated under the direction of Resthaven Mortuary, Trenton. No services are planned at her request. Inurnment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens north of Trenton.
Memorials suggested to First Baptist Church, North 65 Center or The Green Hills Women’s Shelter and maybe left with the mortuary.
Mrs. Sharp was born January 3, 1938 in Lead Hill, Arkansas the daughter of Jess and Bertha Hancock Crosswhite. She attended schools in Lead Hill, Arkansas, Harrison, Arkansas, Marshfield, Missouri and graduated from Carthage, Missouri High School in 1955.
In 1959 she was married to Monett, Missouri to Edward Jordin. They moved to Trenton 1961 where she worked several years as a secretary for the McCullough Insurance Agency. Her husband Edward Jordin died in 1967. She was then married on March 29, 1968 in Trenton to Marvin L. Sharp, who preceded her in death on December 17, 2018.
She had done volunteer work at Wright Memorial Hospital and Church Women’s United Thrift Shop. She was a member of the Trenton First Baptist Church.
Her survivors include one son Robert Sharp, McPherson, Kansas. Two brothers Wendell Crosswhite,Don Crosswhite, three sisters Polly Thurmond, Rita Raney, Barbara Durham and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two sisters Nell King, Veta Anderson, four brothers Earl Crosswhite, Kirby Crosswhite, Bob Crosswhite, and Tom Crosswhite.
