Mr. Jacob L. Veatch, 49, a resident of Independence, Missouri died at 10:17 P.M., Monday, March 2, 2026 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton, Missouri. Burial of cremains will be in Edinburg Cemetery west of Trenton, Missouri.
Mr. Veatch was born July 29, 1976 in Elk Grove Village, Illinois the son of Larry Ray and Sharon Kay Draper Veatch. He had previously been employed in the food service business at Lakeview Restaurant, Trenton, Missouri.
Jake had a real passion for the culinary arts and took pride in sharing his meals with others. Full of humor, he was always ready with a good story to tell. More than anything, he loved his daughter dearly, and that was no secret to anyone who knew him.
His survivors include his daughter Jaylee Kay Veatch, Maryville, Missouri; his mother Sharon Kay Veatch, Independence, Missouri; two Uncles Paul Veatch, Thayer, Missouri and Bob Draper, Trenton, Missouri. He also has four aunts, Debra Griffin, Trenton, Missouri, Alice Albers, Trenton, Missouri, Donna Scheib, Trenton, Missouri and Virginia Draper, Chillicothe, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Veatch.
