J. David Batson

J. David Batson a 78 year old resident of Vine Grove, KY, passed away July 15, 2025 at the U of L Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Burial will follow in South Evans Cemetery North of Trenton.  A visitation is scheduled from noon until service time.  Memorial donations are suggested to the South Evans Cemetery and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

J. David Batson was born January 31, 1947 in Trenton to Martin and Patricia (Ricketts) Batson.  He graduated from Trenton High School and then attended Trenton Junior College in Trenton and Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, MO, receiving a bachelor’s degree in animal science.  David worked in agriculture sales for multiple companies as well as working as a real estate agent and running his farm in Harris.  He was an avid sports fan and especially loved baseball.  He was a member of South Evans Church.

Surviving relatives include his wife Patricia of the home sons Mark Batson of Louisville, KY, Mike Batson and wife Debbie of Princeton, MO, Greg Thomas of Springerton, IL, brothers, Tom Batson and wife Jan of Eldridge, IA and Carl Batson of Trenton, sisters Lois Buttenob of Seymore, MO and Linda Bonzer and husband Bill of Rolla, MO, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Those preceding him in death include his parents, son Gary Thomas, sisters, Brenda Johnson and Sandra Ellis, a brothers, Donald Batson, and Albert Jake Batson.
