Gloria Anderson Obituary

In Loving Memory of Gloria Ann Anderson
April 12th, 1953 - August 2nd, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our adored mother and Mimi, Gloria Ann Anderson, who left this world on August 2nd. She was a graduate of Trenton High School, class of 1971 where she was a member of the Latin Club, and the Honor Society. She was employed for several years as the Recorder of Deeds and prior to that at Wright Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, was a true history buff and loved keeping tabs on her flourishing flowers around her home. She was also an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and never missed watching a game. She was a shining light in our lives, known for her sweet, caring nature and unwavering support not only for her children but for her treasured grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit and empathetic heart touched everyone she encountered.

Gloria had a remarkable ability to find joy in the smallest things, often sharing laughter with her loved ones through her witty sense of humor and her love for funny animal videos. She had an extraordinary bond with her five cherished grandchildren, whom she adored fiercely. Each moment spent babysitting them was filled with love, laughter, and countless unforgettable memories. It was the simple things in life that she enjoyed, such as building elaborate forts with Ledger, and having “girl days” with Remi. Not to mention, catching up with McKayla and her husband Dylan over dinners, building snow globes and having sleepovers with Sydney, and sewing and playing in the backyard with Josie.

As a true animal lover, her dog Auggie was not just a pet, but a cherished companion and a source of endless joy. He was by her side until her very last breath which she would have cherished knowing. Gloria often found herself entranced by the beauty of all birds, but especially hummingbirds, a symbol of her vibrant spirit and love for life.

Gloria’s intelligence and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was not only a mother but also a friend, a confidante, and a guiding light for her family, not to mention, a shoulder for anyone needing it.

Preceding her in death is her cherished mother Dorothy Etherton, stepfather John Olan Moore and his son John, as well as her father David Anderson, her spunky dog Susie and her adored dog Bailey. Lastly, Larry Buzzard, her spouse of 27 years, of whom she still cherished. All surely picking up with her in heaven right where she left off here on Earth.

She leaves behind the shattered hearts of her children James Buzzard and his fiancé Crystal Morgan, Gabriel Buzzard and her grandchildren Remi and Ledger Buzzard. As well as Carolyn (Cari) and her husband Trent Blackburn and McKayla and Dylan Harris, Sydney and Josie Blackburn. Her brother Dave Anderson, as well as her cherished nephews Shawn and Matthew and their beautiful families. Last but not least, her companion until the end, her sweet dog Auggie.

Visitation will be Thursday August 7th from 6pm to 7pm and her celebration of life will be held on Friday August 8th at 2pm both at Resthaven Mortuary. In honor of her memory, we invite you to share stories, laughter, and the love she so generously gave. Monetary contributions are suggested to the family for expenses.

Her love will live on in our hearts forever.
