Mr. Fred Griffin, 69, a resident of Hamilton, Missouri and former Trenton, Missouri resident died at 4:15 P.M., Monday, August 11, 2025 at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 18, 2025 at Resthaven Mortuary, Trenton, Missouri. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Trenton, Missouri.
Family Visitation open to friends and family will be held Sunday, August 17, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
Memorials to either his grandchildren’s education fund, St. Jude’s Children Hospital or National Wild Turkey Federation.
Mr. Griffin was born November 28, 1955 in Princeton, Missouri the son of Warren Eugene and Vera Lea Curtis Griffin. Graduated from Trenton High School in 1974. He had worked on farms, as a truck driver and then was employed by Donaldson’s of Chillicothe, Missouri.
Fred raced cars at Jamesport, Winston, Bethany and Sedalia. He also had been an avid deer and turkey hunter. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Trenton, enjoyed being a shooting sports coach, as well as enjoying trapshooting and going to registered trap shoots to watch his son shoot.
On November 22, 1986 he was married to Patricia (Patsy) Diane Cunningham at Spickard, Missouri.
His survivors include his wife Patsy of the home; three daughters Sherri Kelsall, Trenton, Missouri, Jolene Giles and husband Andy, Bethany, Missouri, Lea Ann Boyle and husband Kellon, Trenton, Missouri; one son Freddie Griffin, Jr. and wife Shelby, Hamilton, Missouri; his mother Vera Griffin, Trenton, Missouri; two sisters Vickie Heuett, Cameron, Missouri, Kathy Jenkins and husband Mike, Bolivar, Missouri; one brother Frank Griffin and wife Sue, Trenton, Missouri; twelve grandchildren Justin Chaney, Tegan Kelsall and significant other Hannah Gilpin, Gaven Kelsall and fiancé Lacee Abner, Kaylea Page and husband Garrett, Kera Boyle, Kerryn Boyle, Kinlea Griffin, Sadie Sager, Mark Griffin, Matthew Griffin, Jack Griffin and Amelia Griffin.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law Rolo Heuett.
