Floyd Howard Somerville

Floyd H. Somerville, 87, a resident of Trenton, Missouri died at 7:56 P.M. at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Edinburg Baptist Church west of Trenton, Missouri.

Memorials to either Sunnyview Foundation or Edinburg Baptist Children’s Church, they can be left with Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton, Missouri.

Mr. Somerville was born June 19, 1936 in Harris, Missouri the son of Archie and Virginia Murphy Somerville. He was a retire employee of Modine Manufacturing of Trenton.

On December 25, 1954 he was married to Mary Ann Manuel. She preceded him death on February 23, 1989. He was then married to Barbara Hamilton Wason on May 20, 1989. She preceded him death on April 26, 2018.

His survivors include three daughters Debra Winn and husband Bert, Trenton, Missouri, Phyllis Gott and husband Chris, Trenton, Missouri, Rebecca Meek and husband Wayne, Siloam Springs, Arkansas; one step-daughter Stacy Peterson and husband Josh, Brookfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter; one sister Jeanne Holloway, Wichita, Kansas. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife’s, three sisters Irene Hobbs, Maxine Crandall, Joann Cutshall and one brother Edwin (Bud) Somerville.
