Dale Still, a 75-year-old Jamesport, MO resident, passed away at 3:35 a.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at his residence near Jamesport with family at his side.
Dale was born December 25, 1945 in Gassville, AR, to Erva and Julia Mae (Terrill) Still. He attended schools in Arkansas until moving to Blue Springs, MO his senior year, where he graduated. On September 9, 1966 he was united in marriage to Kay Louise Gibler in Blue Springs. Dale was drafted into the Army and served his country during Vietnam from 1965 to 1967. Dale worked for over 20 years as a heavy equipment operator for J M Fahey Construction Company in Gladstone, MO and later for Donnie Lamp in Chillicothe until his retirement. He was a member of local 101 equipment operators union. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.
Surviving relatives include his wife Kay of the home, daughters Stephanie Eckert and husband Mike of Jamesport, MO, Teresa Hamilton of Trenton, and Frances Whitney and husband Brad of Trenton, sisters Judy Roberts of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Reta Eddings and husband Delaine of Valley Springs, AR, eight grandchildren; Gib Wray and wife Kelly, RaeAnne Eckert and significant other Rob Raines, Denten Wray and wife Jamie, Paiten Sackrey and husband Brad, Alexis Whitney, Bryce Whitney, Keiten Stout and husband Donavan , and Austin Eckert, and 11 great grandchildren; Oaklyn, Brionna, Kabelah, Gavin, Kaylee Jo, Jentri, Emma, Brad, Annabelle, Braydon and Jayla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Harrold Still and his in-laws, Gorden and Frances Pauline Gibler.
He is to be cremated under the direction of Slater Neal Funeral Home with no services scheduled. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Cameron Veteran’s Assistance League and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Noon at the home of Mike and Stephanie Eckert 772 State Highway U Jamesport MO 64648.
