Mr. Edward King, 89, a resident of Trenton, Missouri died at 1:30 A.M., Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Sunnyview Nursing Home, Trenton, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Resthaven Mortuary, Trenton, Missouri. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Trenton, Missouri.
Open visitation will be Friday, from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
Memorials have been suggested to the charity of donor choice and may be with the mortuary.
Mr. King was born April 24, 1935 in Brimson, Missouri the son of Alfred Lee and Sarah Edith Fitzpatrick King. He attended Trenton High School, was a retired farmer, farming in Laredo Community most of his life.
He was a member of the Laredo Baptist Church and had been attending the Church of The Nazarene of Trenton.
On August 8, 1953 he was married to Merle Frances King at Trenton, Missouri.
His survivors include his wife Merle of the home, four daughters Leann Lame and husband Richard, Trenton, Missouri, Teresa Stanturf and husband Tom, Trenton, Missouri, Mary Lou Walker and husband Mike, St. Joseph, Missouri, Jeannie Anderson, Trenton, Missouri; five grandchildren Scott Lame, Ross Lame, Cari Evans, Aaron Walker, Alex Anderson; six great grandchildren; three sisters Nadine King, Zoella Hott, Jewell Schlottterer all of the Kansas City, Missouri area; one brother David King, Windsor, Missouri; one sister-in-law Joyce King, Kansas City, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Marlene Barnett, two brothers Nolan King, Myron King and three grandchildren.
