Edith McAtee, a 63 year old resident of Independence, MO passed away at 8:13 p.m., Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Mt. Washington Baptist Church in Independence, MO. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton. Open viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Tuesday at Slater Neal Funeral Home of Trenton. Memorial donations are suggested to the Mount Washington Baptist Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Edith Catherine McAtee was born March 3, 1958 in Trenton to William Henry and Helen Chandler. She graduated from Trenton High School. On December 28, 1991 she was united in marriage to Randall McAtee in Trenton. For the last seventeen years Edith worked as a cashier for Walgreens. She was an active member of Mount Washington Baptist Church. Edith was a huge Chiefs and Royals fan.
Surviving relatives include her husband Randall of the home, son David Roberson and daughter Cristal Turner both of Tennessee, sister Lanah Stottlemyre and husband J.W. of Kansas City, MO, brother James Chandler of Independence, MO, mother-in-law Carol Norris of Trenton, brother-in-law Raymond McAtee of Independence, MO, three grandchildren a niece Samantha Fischer of Wentzville, MO, and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
