Dr. Samang O. Kim, D.O.

Dr. Samang O. Kim, D.O., 58, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri died Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Trenton, Missouri.

His body was cremated under the direction of Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton, Missouri. No services are planned at this time.

Dr. Kim was born February 1, 1967 in Cambodia. Dr. Kim is a family medicine doctor who received his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in the class of 1995, then did his internship from 1995-1996 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital-Warren, Warren, Michigan, residency at University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine, Reno, Nevada from 1996-1998 he then completed his residency in family Medicine at the Trinity Health Livingston Hospital, Howell, Michigan from 1998-1999. He had held licenses to practice medicine in the states of Nevada from 1998-2002, Michigan from 1995-2004. Colorado from 2000-2021 and the state of Missouri from 1999 to the present. He then and has been in practice for more than 20 years. He had practice medical at Wright Memorial Hospital, Trenton, Missouri as well in the communities of Maryville, Missouri, Lexington, Missouri and Marion County, Missouri. He also had practice at the Betty Ford Clinic.

He was a member of the AOA Board of Family Physicians.

His interests include watching James Bond, cooking, working in the yard he was a very generous man and a kind and loving husband.

His survivor is his wife Libby of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
