Dorothy McMullen, a 99 year old Trenton resident, passed away at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, November 22, 2020 at her residence where she was under hospice care.
She is to be cremated with private family inurnment at a later date in Antioch Cemetery near Jamesport. Memorial donations are suggested to Antioch Cemetery and may be left with or mailed to Slater Neal Funeral Home in Trenton.
Dorothy McMullen was born September 29, 1921 in Jamesport, Mo to Schuyler and Rhoda (Herndon) Turner. On December 25, 1945 she was united in marriage to Harry D. McMullen in Trenton. He preceded her in death April 24, 2012. They resided in several places across the country and enjoyed traveling. Dorothy worked for the United States Department of Defense as a quality Specialist. She always stayed active and loved visiting people. She was a member of Grundy Center Church near Trenton.
Surviving relatives include her daughter Harriett Jean Black, a sister Emma Gardner, granddaughter Monica M. Black, and grandsons Charles L. Black,IV and Schuyler Lee Mikles.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, a daughter Patricia Mikles, a brother Ralph Turner, and sister Elva Mann.
