David Rex Klingensmith, a 63 year old former Trenton resident, passed away at 1:35 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2025 at Slater Neal Funeral Home of Trenton. He is to be cremated following the services. A visitation is scheduled from 1:00 until service time Friday. Inurnment will be at later date in Maple Grove Cemetery in Trenton. Memorial donations are suggested to the funeral expenses and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
David Rex Klingensmith was born November 19, 1961 in Trenton to David Jacob Klingensmith and Peggy Ruth (Clark) Lovestead. He graduated from Trenton High School. David Rex worked at Crown Restaurant, as a school bus driver, for Landmark Manufacturing and as an over the road truck driver. He was well known as a people person and loved talking with everyone. He loved fishing hunting and camping especially with his dad. David Rex also loved all kinds of animals.
Surviving relatives include his daughter Nicki Swindler of Ludlow, MO, step mother Mary Jane Klingensmith of Trenton, half-sister Linda Arbuckle and husband Jeff of Trenton, step brother Gary McCloud and wife Debbie of Spickard, MO, granddaughter Melody, four step grandchildren and two nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Tammy Lynn and son-in-law Donald Swindler.
