Connie Sue (Terry) Hanes

Connie Sue Hanes, a 70 year old former Brimson resident, passed away at 6:21 P.M., Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Cameron Regional Medical Center in Cameron, MO.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.  A visitation is scheduled from 1:00 until service time Sunday.  Open visitation will be from 10:00 until 6:00 Saturday at Slater Neal Funeral Home of Trenton.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Mitchell Cemetery and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Connie Sue Hanes was born July 11, 1950 in Trenton to Ralph and Aletta (Smith) Terry.  She graduated from Gilman City High School.  On August 18, 1968 she was united in marriage to Wayne Hanes in Melbourne, MO.  He preceded her in death August 5, 1989.  Together they began farming in the Brimson area until Wayne’s passing and then she took over the farming operation with her family until her retirement.  She was a member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church. She held many titles but her favorite was Nanny.

Surviving relatives include her mother Aletta Terry of Gallatin, daughters Nina Moulin and husband Ireland of Trenton, and Charla Ratliff and husband Shannon of Trenton, sister Lisa Hedrick and significant other Alan Souders of Jamesport, brother in law Fred Boland of Columbia, MO grandchildren Kaleb Moulin and wife Kaci, Kelsey Burtch and husband Kyle, Trever Ratliff, and Rillie Ratliff, and great grandchildren Baylor Moulin, Kable Moulin, Brayton Fair, Kaygan Baker, Adilyn Baker, Karsyn Tinsley, and one on the way Henley Burtch. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, husband and a sister Linda Boland.
