Cheryl (Moore) McLain

Cheryl McLain, an 80 year old Trenton resident, passed away at 2:49 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  A visitation is scheduled from 1:00 until service time Tuesday.  Inurnment will be at a later date in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.  Memorial donations are suggested to Trenton F.F.A., N.C.M.C. Nursing Program, or the Green Hills animal shelter and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Cheryl McLain was born October 19, 1944 in Trenton to John Olin and Eurania Loree (Johnson) Moore.  She graduated from Trenton High School with the class of 1962.  In 1964 she was united in marriage to Jerry Harris and to this marriage three children were born.  She remarried on February 12, 1994 to Bill McLain.  Cheryl was very active and ran daily for many years as well as choreographed dances for the Trenton Acting Guild.  She worked as a teller at Citizens Bank and Trust as well as teaching aerobics, and as a teaching Aid for Special Education classes at Trenton High School.

Surviving relatives include her husband Bill of the home, son Vince Harris and wife Ariel of Trenton, daughter Kelli Walker and companion Seth of Trenton, step son Eric McLain of Chula, sisters Beverly Rice of Sedalia, Terry Whitaker and husband Donald Max of Trenton, LeAnn Allnut and husband Tim of Trenton, step sisters that came along later in life Marla Stratton and Sabra Ferguson, and grandchildren; Chloe, Layni, Ryeland, Meadow and Maggie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Shonna Harris, step son Brad McLain, and a brother John Moore.
