Mr. Charles A. Walmsley 82, a resident of Trenton, Missouri died at 3:50 P.M., Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Harry S. Truman V.A. Hospital, Columbia, Missouri.
He was cremated under the direction of Slater Neal Funeral Home. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Wesley United Methodist Church. Memorial donations are suggested to the veteran’s organization of your choice and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Mr. Walmsley was born October 25, 1938 in Flushing, New York the son of Charles Alfred and Evelyn Veronica Smith Walmsley, Jr. He was a veteran of the Air Force. Before retiring he was employed as an electrical maintenance II at the Cameron, Missouri prison. On June 22, 1963 he was married to Merle Lynn Gibson at Eureka, Missouri. She preceded him in death on January 20, 2001.
His survivors include one daughter Kim Walmsley, Holts Summit, Missouri and one son Chas Walmsley, Spickard, Missouri, grandchildren Tyler Dodson, Charles Walmsley 5th, Triston Walmsley, and great grandchildren Austin and Evelyn Dodson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one sister Gail Jerimiah, and one brother Jim Walmsley.
