Charles Davidson Obituary

Mr. Charles H. Davidson 96, a resident of Trenton, Missouri died at 10:12 A.M., Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the Wright Memorial Hospital, Trenton, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Wesley United Methodist Church, Trenton. Burial will be in Edinburg Cemetery west of Trenton.

Family visitation will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Wesley United Methodist Church, Trenton.

Memorials to Joseph L. Norton Post No. 919 V.F.W., of Trenton building fund and they may be left with Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton.

Mr. Davidson was born August 5, 1925 in rural Grundy County, Missouri the son of Frank and Bertha Hein Davidson. He was veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Rock Island Railroad after being employed for 28 years as a Conductor.

He was member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Joseph L. Norton Post No. 919 V.F.W., Major Dale Post No. 31 American Legion, and Disabled Veterans Post No. 61 all are of Trenton.

On June 13, 1953 he was married to Mary Jerrine Dryer. She preceded him in death on February 7, 1978. He was then married to Marilyn Jane Powell Dennis on August 15, 1987 at Trenton, Missouri.

His survivors include his wife Marilyn of the home; one step-daughter Mary Jane Willige, Marshfield, Missouri; one step-son Daniel Powell Dennis, Trenton, Missouri; one sister Rhoda Oyler, Trenton, Missouri; six grandchildren Mason Joseph Crawford and wife Ashley Isby, Columbia, Missouri, Merrit James Crawford and wife Alli, Lenexa, Kansas, Milan Jackson Crawford, Overland Park, Kansas, James Daniel Dennis, Kansas City, Missouri, Jacob David Dennis, Jessica Lynn Dennis Westerfield and husband John, Smithville, Missouri; one great granddaughter Madden Crawford, Lenexa, Kansas; two nieces Teresa Oyler, Trenton, Missouri  and Patty Vincent, Savannah, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife Jerri.
