Charles Crawford Obituary

Charles Eugene Crawford, a 98 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 12:53 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2024 surrounded by his family at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 11, 2024 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.  A visitation will be from 5:00 until 6:00 Sunday evening at Resthaven Mortuary.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Salem Baptist Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Charles Crawford was born December 8, 1925 in Grundy County to Paul and Amber (Moore) Crawford.  He attended Tindall grade school and graduated from Trenton High School. On October 31, 1948 he was united in marriage to Lovice Ann Daniels at the Christian Church in Trenton until she passed on April 21, 2022 for 73 years of marital bliss.  He lived his entire life as a farmer in the Forks of The River area and a longtime member of Salem Baptist Church.  Charles and Lovice enjoyed camping on summer trips and wintering in Texas.

Surviving relatives include, sons Danny Crawford and wife Connie of Trenton, Bob Crawford and wife Faye of Raytown, Doug Crawford and wife Dianna of Trenton, and daughter Charla Rehbein and husband Leo of Browning, MO, sister-in laws Linda Bingman of Springfield, and Patricia Daniels of Warrensburg, grandchildren; Scott Crawford and wife Tiffany of Trenton, Michelle Davis and husband Brandon of Lee’s Summit, Stephanie Eaton and husband Kelly of Chillicothe, Dana Taylor and husband Gregg of Kansas City, MO, Shannon Crawford and wife Mary of Gladstone, Cory Crawford of Trenton, Cleeton Crawford and wife Lori of Austin, TX, Chasity Rardon and husband Justin of Linneus, Luke Rehbein and wife Raven of Purdin , Caleb Rehbein and wife Beth of Red Oak, IA, Lydia Shiflett and husband Kaleb  of Humphreys, and Canaan Rehbein and wife Breanna of Chillicothe, 33 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son Gordon Crawford, brother Bob Crawford and wife Kay, sister Sue McCloud and husband (Glenn), brother-in-law L.D. Daniels and Tom Bingman, infant granddaughter Christian, and infant great grandson Case and great grandson in law Alex Gerst.
