Chance Whitney Dillon, resident of Trenton, Missouri, passed away at Wright Memorial Hospital at 3:03 PM on December 31, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 5, 2024 at Resthaven Mortuary, Trenton, Missouri. His body will be cremated after the service.
Family visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., Friday at the mortuary.
He was born January 13, 1974 to Mike and Jean Dillon in Clinton, IA.
He was married to Linda Kelley Dillon on August 1, 1997 in Galt, Missouri. This is where he spent most of his married life. He and his wife, Linda, later moved to Trenton 3 years ago and enjoyed living and making their new house a home. Some of his interests included rock/heavy metal music, road tripping and just seeing new things especially lakes, rivers, and state parks. They had recently bought a camper and started camping this last summer. He loved aquariums and looking for rare fish for his many tanks. His mother fondly remembers his willingness to help anyone in need especially if they were broke down. He would always stop and help them. Chance was dedicated to his wife and family. He held several different jobs throughout the years and served 10 years in the Army National Guard with working as a full-time mechanic in Rolla. Chance would take Linda searching for Christmas lights each year and on many random road trips to various places that are special memories.
Chance was proceded in death by his father, William M. Dillon, his daughter, Amanda Rose, father-in-law David Kelley and grandparents, aunt and uncles.
He is survived of the home by his wife, Linda of 26 ½ years. A daughter Jenna Dillon of Trenton, Missouri; His stepdaughter Kalinda (Nathan) McCrary, Kainsley and Brycen McCrary of Gilman City, mother Jean Dillon of Callao, Missouri, mother-in-law, Laura Kelley of Meadville. One sister, Libby (Dave) Schlup of Sedalia. 2 grandsons, Loki Beshirs and Mikah Akins of Brookfield, Missouri. Two Sister in Laws, Patty (George) Turley of Galt, Sandy (Randy) Olson of Meadville, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
