Bruce Persell

Bruce Persell, 76, a resident of Spickard, Missouri died Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10:53 A.M. at Wright Memorial Hospital, Trenton, Missouri.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, July 12, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church, Princeton, Missouri.

Memorials to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital and may be left with Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton, Missouri.

Bruce was born March 19, 1949 at Trenton, Missouri the son of Cecil Gerald and Marilyn Colleen Girdner Persell. He had been employed by Lloyd Chain of Maryville, Missouri, Mobile Homes Manufacture of Trenton, a short time at Trenton Foods and finally worked at Modine Manufacturing for 30 year retiring in 2014 because of poor health. 

He was saved as a child at the Grand Oaks Youth Camp of Chillicothe, Missouri and was a member of the Spickard Baptist Church.

On August 22, 1969 he was married to Janice Marie Lewis at Spickard, Missouri.

His survivors include his wife Janice of the home; one daughter Christy Ferstl and husband Jay, Lawson, Missouri; one son Brian Persell and wife Holly, Mercer, Missouri; eight grandchildren Jeff, Jessica, Brody, Montana, Laramie, Charlie, Triston, Tyler; nine great grandchildren; one son-in-law Chas Walmsley, Trenton, Missouri; one sister-in-law Dianna Persell, Spickard, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Misty Walmsley and one brother Larry Persell.
