Billy G. Arney

Bill Arney an 85 year old Trenton resident, passed away at 2:20 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. at Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton, Missouri.  Burial will follow in Rural Dale Cemetery east of Trenton. 

Family visitation will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations are suggested to the North 65 Center and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Billy Gene Arney was born May 12, 1940 in Spickard, MO to Ivan and Elgevia Delores (Ritter) Arney.  He graduated from Lexington MO High School with the class of 1959.  On November 23, 1970 he was united in marriage to Imogene Ann Meeker.  She preceded him in death on January 18, 2024.  Bill loved Fishing and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks.  He also enjoyed hunting, metal detecting and spending time with his friends at the Senior Center and the Elk’s Lodge.

Surviving relatives include his step-son Bryon Lovell and wife Cindy of Camdenton, MO, one son Randall Barrett, brother, Richard Arney and wife Faye of Columbia, MO, sister-in-law Cathie Whitley and husband Jim of Trenton, many grandchildren, cousins and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, his children Rhonda and Brian Barrett.
