Betty Jo (Jennings) Kidd

Mrs. Betty Jo Kidd 97, a resident of Trenton, Missouri died at 5:00 A.M., Monday, January 3,2022 at Sunnyview Nursing Home, Trenton, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 5,2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton, Missouri. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens north of Trenton.

Family visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North 65 Center and may be left with the funeral home.

Mrs. Kidd was born September 17,1924 in Hickory, Missouri the daughter of William and Myrtle Cora Steele Jennings. She graduated from Trenton High School.  Before retiring, she was employed by the former Missouri Public Service as office manager.  She attended Dockery Chapel Church southwest of Trenton.

On August 16,1945 she was married to H.L. Kidd at Topeka, Kansas. He preceded her death on January 24, 1995.

Her survivors include one daughter Jennifer Murphy and husband Doug, and one son Johnny Kidd and wife Ginia, all of Trenton; five grandchildren Christy Tolson and husband Brad, Trenton, Andy Kidd, Trenton, Danny Murphy, Chula, Missouri, Kate Murphy, Knoxville, Iowa, and Keli Culver and husband David, Peculiar, Missouri; thirteen great-grandchildren Morgan Pearson, Jacey Roy, Chase Tolson, Lexie Tolson, Ainsley Tolson, Kiefer Tolson, Cooper Murphy, Mylo Murphy, Tyler Kidd, Haley Kidd, Matt Berry, Zander Walter, Isaac Culver; and one brother-in-law Richard Kidd and wife Vera of Tennessee.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
