Betty Joyce Ralls age 90, passed away on September 9th 2024 in Trenton, Missouri. Born on April 29, 1934, in Osgood, Missouri to George and Ina (Meeker) Hamilton, Betty was to become part of a large family of 13 children. Betty enjoyed reminiscing about her childhood and had many entertaining and inspiring stories of growing up as a child in a home filled with way more love than money. Being born after the depression era instilled ethics of hard work that continued throughout her life. She remembers waking early in the morning to bake the bread and biscuits for the family. After meeting and marrying the love of her life Joseph (JR) she became devoted to their family of 4 children staying home and sacrificing all her desires to fulfill theirs. Betty had a special gift of hospitality and friendship that was enjoyed by many people. She loved to fix special treats and dinners for family and friends and always knew everyone’s favorites. Due to raising her special needs son Tommy she was unable to attend many events but was always so happy to volunteer for the church pie baking, Christmas decorations and any other ways she could bless others. Christmas was her favorite time of year where she loved to spoil her grandchildren and celebrate with a beautiful tree and decorations. Her passing will leave a void that can never be filled but with many memories of gathering around her table and special times of conversation.
She is survived by her sons, Jody Ralls of Gallatin, MO, and Mickey (Debbie) Ralls of Trenton, MO; daughter, Joyce (Rick) Landon of Parkville, MO; and son Tommy Gene of the home. Her grandchildren, Joey and Jason Ralls, Jacob, Christie, Jeremy (Andrea) Landon and Lawson Ralls along with 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings Judy Shuler, Birdie Wilson, Patty McLaughlin, and Willard (Ruth) Hamilton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, her siblings Lorene , Gloria Jean, MaryLou, Rebecca Sondra Sue, Janice Fay, Nancy Ann, Basil Rex, Donald George, Ronald Lee, Jan Ray; and daughter-in-law Kathleen (Colt) Ralls.
