Albert Jake Batson

Jake Batson, an 83 year old former Galt, MO resident, passed away at 5:13 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 16, 2025 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Burial will follow in South Evans Cemetery.  A visitation will be from 10 until service time Monday.  Memorial donations are suggested to either the South Evans Cemetery or Three Rivers Hospice and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Albert Jake Batson was born April 17, 1942 in the Spickard area to Martin and Patricia (Ricketts) Batson.  He was the first of his family to graduate high school in Trenton with the class of 1960.  On November 1, 1961 he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Bryant at the Trenton Church of the Nazarene. She preceded him in death January 8, 2014.  Jake farmed most all of his life as well as work at Trenton Foods for 36 years.  He served as trustee for the Myers Township and was a member of the South Evans Christian Church.

Surviving relatives include his children, Jeannette Hughes and husband Bill of Lebanon, MO, Albert Batson and wife Jenny of Trenton, and Alice Stepanek and husband Rick of Easton, MO, brothers, Tom Batson and wife Jan of Eldridge, IA, Dave Batson and wife Pat of Louisville, KY, Carl Batson of Trenton, sisters Lois Buttenob of Seymore, MO and Linda Bonzer and husband Bill of Rolla, MO, sister-in-law Lanah Bagley of Waco, TX, six grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Those preceding him in death include his parents, wife, sisters, Brenda Johnson and Sandra Ellis, a brother Donald Batson, and daughter Judy Stark
